HORSHAM, PA, April 22, 2019 —Kreischer Miller, a leading independent accounting, tax, and business advisory firm serving the Greater Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley areas, today announced that it has been ranked as the top mid-size employer on The Philadelphia Inquirer’s Top Workplaces list for 2019. Forty-five mid-size employers were named a Top Workplace, as part of 125 companies of all sizes that were named to the list. Kreischer Miller was one of just two accounting firms to appear on the list overall.
While the list of companies that were named a Top Workplace was announced in March, where each of those companies ranked on the list was announced at an awards dinner at the Crystal Tea Room on Thursday, April 18, as well as online at philly.com and in the Sunday, April 21 edition of The Inquirer.

The Top Workplaces are determined solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measured several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection.
The Inquirer highlighted several of Kreischer Miller’s benefits for employees. For instance, during tax season and in the fall, free dinners are available Monday through Thursday and on Saturday. The firm also offers Core Hours, a flexible approach to the workday, where client-facing employees have the opportunity to customize their working hours to accommodate personal commitments. The firm also provides extras such as cash incentives to participate in wellness programs, a dry-cleaning pickup service, and free Netflix movie rentals.
The Inquirer also featured one element of Kreischer Miller’s culture in its Top Workplaces supplement published April 19. The firm’s “dress for your day” dress code policy allows employees to dress casually – including jeans – any day of the week, unless a client meeting calls for more formal attire. The firm implemented the new policy a few years ago in response to a growing trend toward more casual work environments amidst a generational shift in the workplace. Bobbi Kelly, Kreischer Miller’s human resources director, noted in The Inquirer’s Top Workplaces supplement that, “Millennials value contribution and comfort. It’s not just about polish and presentation. It’s about what I’m doing, what I’m accomplishing, not about what I look like. And frankly, we saw our clients become more and more casual.”
