HORSHAM, PA, April 14, 2022 —Kreischer Miller, a leading independent accounting, tax, and business advisory firm serving the Greater Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley areas, today announced that it has been selected as a Top Workplace for 2022 by The Philadelphia Inquirer. This marks the fifth time the firm has been named a Top Workplace by the publication.

The Top Workplaces are determined solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC. The anonymous survey uniquely measured 15 culture drivers that are critical to the success of any organization, including alignment, execution, and connection.

Kreischer Miller is one of only 135 companies in the Greater Philadelphia region to be named to the list. The firm’s survey results found that employee engagement scored in the 93rd percentile compared to similar accounting firms. Team members agreed strongly with statements such as “Kreischer Miller encourages different points of view,” “I believe Kreischer Miller is going in the right direction,” and “I feel well-informed about important decisions at Kreischer Miller.”

“We are extremely proud to have been selected as a Top Workplace for the fifth time, especially since the honor is based entirely on feedback from our team members,” said Chris Meshginpoosh, Kreischer Miller’s managing director. “When you consider all of the pandemic-related challenges of the past two years, having an actively engaged workforce is something we absolutely do not take for granted. We believe that by investing in our team members and providing them the tools, support, and flexibility they need to thrive and grow, they will be happier and more productive. That, in turn, encourages them to provide excellent client service and make meaningful contributions to their clients and the firm.”

Today’s employees increasingly are seeking more than just a job; they are looking for opportunities that offer meaning and purpose. When asked what they find most meaningful about working at Kreischer Miller, one team member echoed the sentiments of numerous respondents by saying, “You're not just a number. Your opinions, ideas, concerns, and comments matter.” Another noted that, “I feel a true sense of purpose in the work that I'm doing. I am directly helping my clients on an ongoing basis and am able develop relationships with them built out of trust and respect.”

A few additional survey responses:

When asked to complete the sentence, “I love my job because…” one team member said Kreischer Miller “cares just as much about its employees as it does its clients. They take the time and effort to make sure we have what we need to be successful.” Another team member noted, “I feel valued and a part of the team. Management takes an interest in developing me and that inspires me to invest in myself. I enjoy what I do and the people that I work with. I feel that Kreischer Miller is headed in the right direction and I can't see myself working anywhere else.”

When asked what they like about the direction Kreischer Miller is going, one team member’s feedback was shared by numerous others: “The fact that creating a more diverse and inclusive workspace is important to the leadership at Kreischer Miller, and that seeing people of color, women in leadership roles, and those that may feel underrepresented are gaining more opportunities is a great direction to be headed in.”

When asked what makes them feel appreciated at Kreischer Miller, one team member noted that, “Kreischer Miller looks at my thoughts and ideas as contributions, not just the revenue that I bring into the firm.”

When asked how Kreischer Miller helps you balance work and life, one team member said that “Leadership understands from the top-down that a happy employee is an effective employee. They understand that public accounting is often cyclical and are generous with time off as well as scheduling during the slower periods.” Another noted that, “We are provided flexibility to complete tasks according to our desired work schedule. Although we have core business hours, as long as we are available to meet client needs and complete our work, we are not required to punch a time clock.”

The complete list of Top Workplaces was published in The Philadelphia Inquirer on Tuesday, April 12. For more information about the Top Workplaces lists, visit www.topworkplaces.com.
