At the same time, we’re committed to keeping our team members’ skills and knowledge current, so that we can provide the best guidance and advice possible to our clients. One of the key ways we accomplish these objectives is by offering a robust in-house university.
Kreischer Miller University (KMU) is one of the primary ways we demonstrate our commitment to the professional development of our team members. KMU includes educational programs at all levels and targets technical/CPE, leadership, management, professional, and software skills. Our course curriculum includes over 75 topics, such as:
Team members are active participants in determining the development avenues they pursue and KMU provides the vehicle through which much of their professional development is obtained. Each year, every team member works in conjunction with their function center leader and career counselor to devise a customized individual development plan.
KMU courses are taught by subject matter experts on the Kreischer Miller team as well as by professionals from outside organizations. Our approach blends the both of both internal and external best practices. We also leverage the large knowledge bank of resources from our professional alliance to provide specialized and targeted trainings from internationally recognized experts in those fields.
We utilize an online learning management system to monitor team member continuing education compliance status as well as manage in-firm education and individual learning plans assigned to each team member. This learning management system is also the tool we use for CPE/CPA license tracking, compliance, and reporting.
