Executive Panel Discussion: How Family Businesses Are Preparing Their Next Generation Leaders
Talamore Country Club | Ambler, PA
Breakfast/Registration - 7:30am-8:00am
Program - 8:00am-9:30am
One of the most critical pieces to a family business’s longevity is a successful leadership transition from one generation to the next. Most intend to keep the business run by the family, in whole or in part. In fact, according to Kreischer Miller’s 2022 Family Business Survey, nearly 64 percent of survey respondents who stated that they’ve identified their future leaders said their plans include either family only or both family and management.
Yet when it comes to arming the next generation with the tools to succeed, family businesses are falling short. Just 39 percent of our survey respondents have made formal investments in the development of their next generation.
We hosted a panel discussion with three multi-generation family business leaders who discussed their leadership succession planning and transition experiences as well as how they prepared themselves to be ready to take the reins when the time was right.
