Brian D. Kitchen, Director, Tax Strategies, was recently interviewed for an article in the Bucks County Courier Times on how the new federal tax code will affect individual taxpayers. The article touches on changes to federal tax withholding, common deductions and credits, 529 plans, and home equity loans, among others. It also points out that these changes take effect for 2018 returns and won't impact your tax filing process this year, something that many people don't realize. As Brian Kitchen notes, "The 2017 tax returns will have little difference from 2016. The tax code is nearly identical."
