Tim has a diversified range of experience in providing tax services including planning, consulting, and compliance for corporations, partnerships, limited liability entities, individuals, and trusts. He advises clients on a wide array of matters, including business formation, tax impact of operational strategies, and succession issues surrounding closely-held, family-owned entities.
Tim is the Director-in-Charge of Kreischer Miller’s state and local tax (SALT) initiatives. He has significant experience in this area, assisting companies in understanding the myriad state and local taxes throughout the country. His SALT group specializes in sales and use reverse audits, negotiations into Voluntary Disclosure and Amnesty programs, assistance with unclaimed property reporting, and reorganization strategies to reduce state and local tax burdens.
Tim is a frequent speaker for local chambers of commerce, trade associations, and industry groups.
Background
Prior to joining Kreischer Miller, Tim spent 16 years with an international public accounting firm where he served as the Director-in-Charge of the state and local tax practice for the office. Previously, he was a department head of the fiduciary tax section of a large Philadelphia law firm. He was also previously an enrolled agent practicing before the Internal Revenue Service.
