James
M. Pippis is a Director in Kreischer Miller’s Audit & Accounting
group. Client experience includes manufacturing and distribution,
professional service, retail,
and real estate industries. He has served clients who are both
privately held and publicly traded.
Upon graduation
from Pennsylvania State University, Jim began his career at a
regional public accounting firm in suburban Philadelphia. After
three years, Jim joined the Philadelphia office of Deloitte and
Touche as a senior accountant. During his five-year tenure his
client service responsibilities included supervising audits for
businesses in various industries including manufacturing and
distribution, professional service, and retail. He served different
entity structures including publicly traded companies.
In 2001, Jim
joined a semiconductor corporation as their External Reporting
Manager and Accounting Policy Manager. In less than three years,
he assumed the role of Controller of one of the corporation’s
business units and was responsible for forecasting future operating
results and implementing control procedures and accounting processes
to integrate two acquisitions. Within one year, Jim took on a
similar role as Controller of another business unit. His
responsibilities, in addition to forecasting future operating
results, included designing and implementing a system to track the
accounting for intellectual property agreements and managing a team
of four individuals responsible for accounting related to company
benefits and restructuring activities. He joined Kreischer Miller
in 2005.
Jim is a member
of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the
Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
