Michael A. Coakley is a Director in the Audit and Accounting group
at Kreischer Miller and has over twenty years of auditing, tax, and
consulting experience in many different industry groups, including
manufacturing and distribution, construction contractors,
professional service firms and not-for-profits. He has also assisted
his clients with various advisory services, such as internal control
and operational reviews, acquisition due diligence, and analyses of
business transactions.
Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University, where
he graduated with Honors in Accounting with Distinction. He has also earned a
Masters of Business Administration degree from DeSales University.
He began his career at KPMG Peat Marwick in Philadelphia, before
joining Hege Kramer Connell Murphy & Goldkamp, P.C. in 1992, where
he focused on serving the accounting, tax and business advisory
needs of his privately-held clients, while effectuating the training
and continuing education of the firm’s professional staff. Mike is
also actively involved in the firm's staff recruitment process, both
on and off campus. He is licensed as a CPA in the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the
Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Institute of
Management Accountants. Mike is also active in the North Penn Chamber of
Commerce.
Mike is a member of the Board of Directors of Visiting Nurses
Association-Community Services, Inc. in Abington, PA, serving on its Executive
Committee and its Caring for Kids Campaign committee. He is an active member of
Mary, Mother of the Redeemer parish in North Wales, PA, where he serves on its
Finance Committee and as a volunteer in its scouting program.
Mike is proud to be a Life Member of the Penn State Alumni
Association and the Scheyers Honors College Scholar Alumni Society
and a member of the Nittany Lion Club, and as such, is an avid
supporter of Penn State academics and athletics. He is also
Treasurer of the DeSales University MBA Business Association, and
serves on the Alumni Council of Archbishop Wood High School in
Warminster, PA.
